Attractel Releases Two New Versions of ZoIPer Softphone for Linux and Mac OS X


a leading VoIP company, provider of VoIP technologies, solutions & services, released the new 2.09 versions of Zoiper IAX and SIP softphone for Mac OS X and Linux. Both versions include new features and some fixes.

Zoiper 2.09 for Mac OS X includes additions, such as: TLS certificate setting (Biz edition only); RPort support for SIP; Address book sorting (column click). The fixes include improved performance in TLS handling; call recording fix on PowerPC (Biz); and DTMF sending fix (Shift+3/8 sends #/*). The Linux 2.09 version features similar additions and fixes.

Zoiper is a multi-platform IAX and SIP softphone, compatible with Asterisk and any other SIP-based IP-PBX. It is available in Free and Biz editions. Most important features of the paid Biz version include: sending / receiving of T.38 Faxes; TCP/TLS support with SIP; Automatic provisioning (XML); URL handling; Outlook/Thunderbird Integration; Native conferencing; API; Attended transfer; Changeable number of lines, and more! Both Zoiper editions are also available for either Complete or Basic customization packages.
